My Canon Story
Teddy Mitchener is the head photographer at House of Fotography, based in Nairobi Kenya. A Washington DC native, Teddy is a self-taught photographer, having picked up his first camera in 1992 under the tutelage of his father, Willie Brown.
With a team of 8, Teddy oversees commercial photography and videography assignments primarily in eastern Africa, specializing in commercial advertising, corporate content capture and creation, as well as coverage of development programmes carried out by international development agencies and projects in the real estate sector.
Additionally, with his company, Teddy is the go-to outfit for Bloomberg (Europe, Africa & Middle East), as well as Standard Chartered Bank Kenya and Kenya Airways, with whom he has been with since 2018, 2020 and 2023 respectively.
Lastly, Teddy is a certified CANON "train the trainer" for the Africa region and he also produces Art photography pieces for exhibitions, both locally and internationally, notably at Photobasel in Switzerland and in Venice and Dubai with AKKA Project Gallery.
