Quick tip on filming with the EOS: All-I and IPB

EOS cameras support All-I and IPB compression. In this quick tip, filmmaker, Canon Video Ambassador and Academy Trainer Nicolai Deutsch explains what the abbreviations mean: In All-I mode, each frame is read from the sensor and compressed. This is ideal for dynamic sequences, such as filming water movement.

IPB mode comes into its own in static situations, such as interviews. With the EOS R3 and EOS R5, you can also film in RAW or in the more compressed IPB Light mode.
