Quick tip: Get more depth of field at close range with focus bracketing

The closer you get to your subject, the smaller the area in focus. In this Quick Tip, Canon Academy instructor Petra Selbertinger explains how to use your EOS's focus bracketing function to increase depth of field.

With Focus Bracketing, the camera, mounted on a tripod, automatically takes a series of shots, varying the point of focus in the scene. The images are then combined together. The result is a photo with an extended range of focus.

Petra guides you through the steps in this quick tip: First, select the Av shooting mode and the aperture. Then switch to the focus bracketing menu and choose the number of shots, focus increments and other settings.
