In this quick tip, environmentalist, filmmaker, photographer and Canon Ambassador Robert Marc Lehmann explains how to customise copyright information in your EOS. Copyright information is automatically stored in the metadata of your EOS and includes information about who created a photo or video. The metadata can be viewed in applications such as Adobe Photoshop or in Canon DPP.
To store your name and other information such as your website or a company or agency name in the camera, select the "Copyright information" entry under point 5 in the yellow camera menu (wrench icon). You can now display and change the currently stored information. Under "Author's name", enter your name or that of your company. Under "Enter copyright details" you can, like Robert Marc Lehmann, enter your website, your email address or your company name, for example. You have a total of 63 characters available for each name and detail.
